comparison pricing

Many of our price tags include comparison prices, which are references to regular retail prices of the same or similar items at full-price department or specialty retailers. Where identical items are not available, we compare to products of a similar type, quality and style. Prices vary among other sellers and change over time, but our buying staff’s goal is always to provide you with a useful comparison based on prices at which we believe substantial sales of the same or a similar item have been made at full-price department or specialty retailers in the area or online. Our mission is always to bring you and your family exceptional value every day – it is the foundation of our business.

locate merchandise
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide our customers with store inventory information because the selection at each T.J. Maxx is unique. Each store receives shipments weekly, so new items are always coming into stores. To locate a particular item, we suggest that you continue to check on our website or contact your local store directly.

product quality
At T.J.Maxx, our values extend to the longstanding relationships we build with our vendors. Our vendors warrant to our Company that their goods have been manufactured and shipped in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards, including human rights standards.

If merchandise is found to be inconsistent with safety standards, we take appropriate steps and will remove the product in question from sale if necessary. In the case of product recalls conducted in cooperation with governmental agencies, we work closely with our vendors and/or the appropriate agencies to ensure the required recall information is available to our customers. We have solid practices in place, which include instructing our stores to quickly pull recalled product off our shelves nationally and posting in-store signage to inform customers of actions they may take. Our customers may always contact Customer Service at 1-800-926-MAXX (1-800-926-6299) for additional information.
