Information For Our Customers
  • We care about helping our Customers and Associates stay healthy, so, in addition to our regular practices, here are some of the changes we are implementing at our stores, distribution centers and online fulfillment centers:

    • Protective shields at our cash registers in stores
    • Enhanced cleaning throughout our stores (including shopping carts) and other buildings (including distribution and online fulfillment centers).
    • Masks will be mandatory for Associates for the time being, and we will be making both masks and gloves available for all Associates.
    • In all of our U.S. stores, customers are required to wear face coverings. In some states and areas, this is already a requirement. (except for young children and those with health conditions that prevent them from wearing a face covering, or if a state or local exemption applies).
    • Dressing rooms are temporarily closed. Our return policy allows you to purchase, try on at home and return what you don't want within 30 days of purchase
    • Encouraging social distancing in stores and across our other buildings. Please leave 6 feet between yourself and others while shopping and in our check-out line.
    • Most T.J. Maxx stores have reopened with temporary store hours of Monday through Sunday, 10am-8pm, unless otherwise directed by local requirements.

    • In some stores, we will hold dedicated shopping hours every Tuesday and Thursday from 9am-10am for seniors (60+) and those who are at greater risk.
    • To help with social distancing, we may limit the number of shoppers allowed in the store at any one time.
    • Layaway will be closed except for pickups and cancellations.
  • Items Purchased In Stores:
    • Merchandise purchased in-store between 2/14/20 and 3/19/20 can be returned to any T.J. Maxx store within 30 days after the store reopens.
    • Our return policies are always subject to local, state and federal restrictions. Due to COVID-19, some jurisdictions prohibit the return of certain products. Please check the governmental restrictions in your area to know whether any particular products are prohibited from being returned in stores or online.
    • All other terms of our standard Return Policy apply.

    Returns By Mail:

    • You may return Merchandise purchased online to any open T.J. Maxx store.
      • Merchandise purchased online between 2/14/20 and 3/19/20 can be returned to any T.J. Maxx store within 30 days after the store reopens.
      • Merchandise purchased online on or after 5/9/20 can be returned to any T.J. Maxx store within 40 days after the store reopens, or within 40 days of your order date, whichever date is later.
    • Alternatively, merchandise purchased online can be returned using our return-by-mail option.
      • Merchandise purchased online between 2/14/20 and 3/19/20 must arrive at our warehouse by 6/18/20.
      • Due to the additional health and wellness practices we have introduced to our online fulfillment center, you may experience delays in the processing of returns.
    • All other terms of our standard Return Policy apply.
