How do I create a tjmaxx.com account?

If you are on a desktop or tablet, follow these steps:

  1. Select sign in at the top right hand corner
  2. When you are prompted to sign in, select create account
  3. Fill in your information
  4. Click create account
  5. You will know you successfully created an account when you see the welcome message. You should also receive an email confirming you created an account.

If you are on a mobile device, follow these steps:

  1. Select the menu at the top left hand corner
  2. Scroll to the bottom section of the menu and select sign in/sign up
  3. When you are prompted to sign in, toggle to sign up
  4. Fill in your information
  5. Click create account
  6. You will know you successfully created an account when you see the welcome message. You should also receive an email confirming you created an account.

Why should I create a tjmaxx.com account?

You need a tjmaxx.com or marshalls.com account to link to your TJX Rewards credit card account and access your Rewards Certificates digitally at checkout.

Once you link your TJX Rewards credit card account to your TJX account, your Digital Rewards Certificates will be available at checkout on tjmaxx.com and marshalls.com within 48 hours of earning, when signed into your TJX account.

Additionally, your Rewards Certificates will be available upon signing into the TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods apps for you to redeem in any TJX store including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Sierra, HomeGoods, and Homesense.

What does it mean to link my card?

The link syncs your TJX Account with your Synchrony Bank TJX Rewards credit card account allowing you to access your Rewards Certificates digitally on tjmaxx.com, marshalls.com and the TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGooods apps.

How do I link my TJX Rewards credit card?

Follow these steps to link your card:

  1. If you haven’t already, log into your tjmaxx.com or marshalls.com account
  2. Go the TJX Rewards section under My Account
  3. Click Link My Card
  4. Fill out the requested information: either enter your 16 digit credit card account number and last four digits of your social security number OR log in to your TJX Rewards credit card account.

Why should I link my TJX Rewards credit card account?

Link your TJX Rewards credit card to easily access a digital copy of your Rewards Certificates within 48 hours of earning.

Once linked, your Rewards Certificates will automatically be available at checkout on tjmaxx.com and or marshalls.com within 48 hours of earning, when signed into your TJX account.

Additionally your Rewards Certificates will be available in the TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods apps for you to redeem in any TJX store in the U.S., including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Sierra, HomeGoods, and Homesense.

One way to link your card is by using your TJX Rewards Credit Card account credentials. These are the same credentials you would use to pay your bill or check your statement online at tjxrewards.com or within the our TJ Maxx, Marshalls or Homegoods app.

How do I know if I have a TJX Rewards credit card account registered on tjxrewards.com?

If you do not pay your bill or check your statement in the TJ Maxx, Marshalls, or Homegoods app or online at tjxrewards.com, it is likely your card is not registered and you do not have a TJX Rewards credit card account. You must register your TJX Rewards credit card on  tjxrewards.com before servicing your account electronically.

Forgot your TJX Rewards credit card account credentials?

Visit tjxrewards.com and select "I forgot my User ID or Password" or "Register".

If you are still unable to login to your TJX Rewards credit card account contact Synchrony’s customer service using the number on the back of your credit card.

You May Have Received the “We’ve Hit A Snag” Message

Try to refresh the browser. If your Rewards still do not populate wait a couple minutes and try refreshing again. If you still don't see anything contact Synchrony’s customer service using the number on the back of your credit card.

You’ve successfully linked your card, but are being prompted to link again.

You may be prompted to re-link your card if:

  • You changed the User ID on your tjxrewards.com credit card account
  • Your card was reported Lost or Stolen
  • Your link has timed out due to security reasons.

If you are still unable to link your card, contact Synchrony’s customer service using the number on the back of your credit card.

By clicking “unlink,” you will no longer have access to your earned Rewards Certificates within our apps or on our sites. It may take 30 minutes to completely unlink. You may relink your card again at any time. Rewards are always available at tjxrewards.com and through email or paper certificates if opted in.

Registering your TJX Rewards credit card creates an online account where you can pay your bill, check your balance and more.

Follow these steps:

  1. Visit tjxrewards.com and click “I want to Register”.
  2. Fill out the requested information and submit.

Once successfully registered, you can link your card by following the steps under FAQ “how do i link my TJX Rewards credit card?”. If you are still having trouble, please contact Synchrony’s customer service using the number on the back of your credit card.

You must link your card to access your digital Rewards Certificates. If you have not linked your card see FAQ: How to link Your TJX Rewards credit card

Once you link your card, your Rewards Certificates will be available at checkout on tjmaxx.com or marshalls.com once signed into your TJX account. Newly earned Certificates will become available for use within 48 hours of earning.

Additionally, your Rewards Certificates will be available in the TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods apps for you to redeem in any TJX store in the U.S., including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Sierra, HomeGoods, and Homesense.

How to access in the app:

Sign in. Go to the Rewards tab and click on your Rewards balance.

How to access online:

Sign in to your TJX account on tjmaxx.com or marshalls.com. Your digital Rewards Certificates will be available at checkout. If you'd like to check your Rewards balance, go to My Account > TJX Rewards.

*Note: If you are looking for a Digital Rewards Certificate you just earned please keep in mind newly earned Certificates become available for use within 48 hours of earning. For online orders, you will not earn Rewards Points until your credit card is charged, which occurs when items are shipped.

Once your Points equal or exceed 1000 Points, a certificate will be issued within 48 hours (for digital Rewards Certificates).

How to redeem Rewards Certificates on tjmaxx.com or marshalls.com

Your Rewards Certificates will appear in the Payment section within checkout. If the Payment section is hidden click Edit. You can only redeem a maximum of 10 Rewards Certificates/gift cards at a given time online.

How to redeem Rewards Certificates in-store

Once you link your card, your Rewards Certificates will be available in the TJ Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods apps for you to redeem in any TJX store in the U.S., including TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Sierra, HomeGoods, and Homesense. Newly earned Certificates will become available for use within 48 hours of earning.

Once you have the TJ Maxx, Marshalls, or HomeGoods app follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Rewards tab
  2. Log into your TJX account in the app (or the credentials you would use on tjmaxx.com or marshalls.com)
  3. When you sign in you will see your Rewards Dashboard
  4. Access your digital Rewards Certificates in the Rewards tab by tapping your balance or the Reward Certificate below My Certificates
  5. Have the cashier scan the Rewards Certificates you wish to use.

If you are having trouble redeeming your digital Rewards Certificates contact Synchrony’s customer service using the number on the back of your credit card.

How to manually apply Rewards Certificates at checkout

Once you link your card, your Digital Rewards Certificates will be available at checkout on tjmaxx.com and marshalls.com within 48 hours of earning them. For online orders, your credit card is charged when items are shipped. You will see more than one charge on your credit card if an order is sent in multiple shipments.

You no longer need to manually apply the Certificate number provided in your paper or electronic billing statement.

If you are not ready to link your card you can continue to manually apply your Rewards Certificates at checkout under Rewards Certificates and Gift Cards within the Payment section.

Simply hand-key in the number and CSC of the Rewards Certificates you wish to redeem. Rewards Certificate numbers can be found at tjxrewards.com.

You can only redeem a maximum of 10 Rewards Certificates/gift cards at a given time online.

don't see your Rewards Certificates?

If you have linked but do not see your Rewards Certificates, please note newly earned Certificates will become available for use at checkout within 48 hours of earning. If you still do not see your Rewards Certificates at checkout after waiting 48 hours, try the following steps:

  1. Refresh your browser
  2. If your Certificates still do not populate wait a couple minutes and try refreshing again.
  3. You may need to refresh the link between your TJX Rewards credit card and your tjmaxx.com account. To do this, first unlink your card. You will then be prompted to relink your card. Follow the steps under “how do i link my TJX Rewards credit card?” FAQ for linking details.

digital vs. paper Rewards Certificates

What are digital Rewards Certificates?

Digital Rewards Certificates are duplicate copies of the Rewards Certificates issued in your paper or electronic billing statement. Once you link your card, you can access your Digital Rewards Certificates at checkout on tjmaxx.com and marshalls.com and within the TJ Maxx, Marshalls and HomeGoods apps.

Are my digital Rewards Certificates different from the ones received in my paper statement?

Digital Rewards Certificates are duplicate copies of the Rewards Certificates issued in your paper or electronic billing statement. Once the full balance of a given certificate has been redeemed, all instances (digital and paper) will have a zero balance.

Once you link your card, newly earned Digital Rewards Certificates become available for use within 48 hours of earning. You will later receive a duplicate copy of your earned Certificates issued in your paper or electronic billing statement.

Will I still receive my paper Rewards Certificates in the mail?

You will still receive paper Rewards Certificates in the mail if you have not opted to receive your billing statement electronically. If you wish to receive your certificates and statement electronically, login to tjxrewards.com and enroll in electronic statements on your Statements page.

Please note once you link your card, the Rewards Certificates issued in your paper or electronic billing statement are a duplicate copy of your Digital Rewards Certificates earned within that statement period.

Can I opt out of receiving paper Rewards Certificates?

You can opt out of receiving paper Rewards Certificates by enrolling in electronic statements on tjxrewards.com. Once enrolled, you will receive an email notification when your electronic statement is available. Newly earned Rewards Certificates will be emailed separately and are also viewable on your electronic statements.

why do i have a negative Points balance?

You may see a negative Points balance if merchandise is returned after a Rewards Certificate is issued. Your Points balance will be updated with every qualifying transaction and will remain negative until your Points return to a positive balance.

Your Rewards Certificate history is a list of the Rewards Certificates you have previously redeemed. To view, click the link from the Rewards page. on tjmaxx.com, marshalls.com, or the TJMaxx, Marshalls or HomeGoods app. You will be prompted to login with your tjxrewards.com account and then may navigate to the “Rewards Certificate History" page.
